Therapy, differently.
About
Ryan Rodriguez, JD, MA, LPC
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who grew up in the Park Cities area of Dallas, Texas. I have bachelor degrees in sociology and government from The University of Texas at Austin; a juris doctor from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law; and a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Northwestern University. However, I am known for saying that my experience is my best education! I'm a therapist who has "been there, done that," with both positive experiences and personal and mental health challenges.
My 3,000 post-grad hours were spent learning from and working alongside several nationally-renowned clinicians. During this time I gained experience working with adolescents and adults in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, codependency, traumatic brain injury, and substance abuse. I also have extended experience working with couples to improve communication, reestablish trust, and rebuild after betrayal. I have provided counseling for several sober living houses, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and in private practice. I developed the curriculum for one of the IOPs and was a large contributor to the curriculum at another. Since becoming fully licensed, I have expanded my therapeutic practice to include ancillary services, including drug and alcohol interventions (I currently have a 100% success rate), drug and alcohol evaluations, and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. I also own and operate Revolve Wellness Collective, a one-stop shop for mental health and whole body wellness. Revolve currently has a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner, functional and integrative medicine provider, therapists for all ages and issues, and coaches. I run my counseling practice out of Revolve's office conveniently located in Preston Center.

My holistic approach focuses on cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual health as equally important parts of a single system. In session I tend to utilize cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) , psychodynamic counseling, psychoanalysis, and attachment theory most frequently, but I will also utilize eye-movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), internal family systems (IFS), and Twelve Step framework when indicated as appropriate. I firmly believe that any constellation of difficult experiences and circumstances can be transformed into a joyful, meaningful life...I have experienced this result myself, and many of my patients have reported this as well! In 2024, I saw a gap in the law and the Texas Department of Family Protective Services and currently have a House Bill filed to be voted on in the current 2025 legislative session.

In my free time, I enjoy creating quirky art through a variety of mediums, spending time with my husband and daughter, and playing with our feisty dachshund, Luna.
